The Artwork
This limited edition sericel depicts characters from Disney's Beauty and the Beast. This sericel edition, "Change of Heart," recreates Sequence 18, Scene 9 of Walt Disney Pictures' classic 1991 animated feature. The scene was animated by Dong Krohn and Anthony DeRosa.
The Walt Disney Studios has created this character image using the fine art screen-printing process of color reproduction known as serigraphy. Disney artists specially created a hand-inked, hand-painted animation cel master which was used inthe production of these sericels. A total of 24 colors were used to recreate the color image, each of which has been exactingly screen-printed, one color at a time, onto the acetate cel.
The background scene accompanying this cel has been created by Disney artists who referenced the original production background, layouts, sketches, and frames from the finished film. The resulting artwork has been lithographically printed on premium-quality, acid-free paper. |
